Well the girls are better

never thought I would say it but the girls have put the men in the shade.  They won 3rd place at the World Cup last night.  They beat one of the finalists ...Sweden...too.

well done ....England are top of the world again at football.  They played with style, determination, skill, modesty  and without moaning.  image

    I agree Verdun, I hope the men's team were watching and but for a flukey own goal against Japan they would have been in the final today. They were brilliant against Germany, a real inspiration and hopefully the women's game will now take off in this country image

    The semi final results were USA 2 Germany 0 and Japan 2 England 1

    The final is tonight and the play off for 3rd place was last night which was Germany 0 England 1. So England take the bronze medal = 3rd place

    Thats what I thought fishy, just couldnt understand the 3rd place and coming third!

    And a few of those girls hold down two jobs as well, puts our mega wage men's team to shame.
