    Shame on me ,I know I have to take the pics of the leaves as well....here goes and yes very fragrant , I really thought it is jasmine?

    Looks like Philadelphus to me too. Mine is in full flower now and smells heavenly!

    Looks like a Philadephus to me too - possibly Belle Etoile.

    You're absolutely right of course - so it does - it's a long while since I've seen one that I knew for sure was Belle Etoile image
