something seems to be eating many of my plants such as lobelia cardinalia, acer, dahlias, salvia don't know what to do

Probably slugs and snails Suzy - on the lobelia and dahlia anyway - as they love the juicy new shoots. Aphids are also a nuisance when there's wet weather followed by heat.Is the damage the same on all plants and have you seen any pests on them ? If you can post a pic it will help determine the cause. Click on the little oak tree icon in the toolbar and follow instructions
