winged aphids - do I need to control these?

Hey there. I have a few tall tomato plants that started to curl from the top new-growth last week. They are very healthy plants - among the healthiest I've ever seen! Organically grown, so I don't want to use chemicals if I can avoid it.

On investigation I noticed a few tiny black winged insects which look like winged aphids, from my google search.

Firstly, would these be the cause of the curled leaf? I was thinking maybe it's because of the hot temperatures we've been having. Trying to be optimistic!

Secondly, do I need to obliterate these creatures a.s.a.p., or will it be alright if I regularly go out there and remove the ones that I can see?

Thanks for your advice!
