Before I got a little wiser I thought it was pretty and the grandchildren(and myself) loved playing grandmother grandmother jump out of bed .
Now the grandchildren have grown and so has the bind weed problem never used weed killer on it cos of the other plants but might try the plastic bottle trick . It will puzzle the neighbours they think I'm a peculiar gardener anyway.I nearly always put the right plants in the wrong places.
Like Lou12 I have a regular bindweed patrol and attack any new shoots with the hoe. I had masses of the stuff in my garden as my other half had let the garden run wild for 6 years but I've now got it under control. Roundup gel was liberally used it start with but now I just chop any new shots off and remove them
Help. I've just bought a shrub called 'shrubby bindweed' from Dobbies. It has the same white flowers as the ones in lou12's picture but has a silvery coloured leaf. It has only been planted a couple of weeks. Should I lift it now or just let our daft labradoodle trample on the bits she's missed.

Convolvulus cneorum apparently the same family as field bindweed Convolvulus arvensis but a lovely plant and not a weed.
Hi Barry Island. Thanks for the info. Checked the link out and breathed a huge sigh of relief.
