forsynthia

hi

I have planted a forsynthia in a container which has grown bigger than i expected when is the best time to replant in the ground please ?

    usually autumn, but if you water in well I think forsythias are tough and should be able to take it, especially if getting potbound.  I cut on down to the ground,just left stumps, last summer and moved it. Its about two feet tall now and flourishing

    Ive just reread mine, yours probably doesn't need cut down, mine was done by 'accident' via a rugby ball going into it and the rugby player following itimage

    Usual advice is to cut out one third of the flowered branches each year.
