New lawn turning brown

Hello all,
I have a newly laid lawn and after a couple of months it is starting to turn brown at the roots. I followed the watering guide that was given and the problem only started a short while ago. I suspect that I am not watering enough but I am not sure. This is my first garden so I am learning as I go along. I attached a couple of pictures of what it looks like at the moment. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Verdun, thanks for answering so quickly. The grass is pretty strong attached and doesn't pull away easily. Maybe as I also suspect not enough watering. I will give it a good soak over the next few days and see if it improves.
