Boundary marker

I had to take the fence down before it fell down!! Myself and my neighbour agree it opens both gardens up. We aren't keeping anything in or out. However I think it maybe sensible to mark the boundary. However, as with most, I'm on a very limited budget. Any ideas??

Just a post at each end, you can join them up if one of you moves

If it's not straight, a few posts?  Or big stones at intervals.  Hippos mark the edge of their territory with piles of dung but I don't think you should do that to be honestimage

How about a low but open fence?

I think I'd go for low posts with rope between - it will mark the boundary but not obscure the feeling of having an open space image
