Bats in the belfry

    When the boys were small we took them to Centerparcs and the chalet did have a pungent smellimage.  We discovered the bats coming out from the roof on the first night and when OH reported it they asked if we wanted to be moved.  No way would I move from there and the evenings entertainment was counting them as they came out.  Not a chance of that as there were hundredsimage.

    We do get bats flying around at dusk and I still get a thrill watching themimage.

    I remember hearing recently (radio or tv) that contrary to popular belief, bats have some vision - however their echolocation is far superior. image
