Hi Mumoftwo - I don't do hanging baskets as I don't like them, but my first thought was that it seemed a lot of plants for such a small amount of space and therefore compost and nutrition. I feel they might be struggling to get enough to sustain them over a long period. Annuals in pots would be the same if there was a shortage.

Lily is right, cut your losses, they will never be any good like that, tip the whole lot out, replant one or two back in fresh new compost, chop them back to about four inches and start again. They will probably pick up and go on blooming till Septemer or later.

This is just one surfinia, it brightens up a dark corner
