Slugs, again

Hi Ive not had many slugs this year at all, thought id escaped until I found a dozen or so this afternoon around my tomato bags and marigold pots. Does anyone have a view on if I'm suddenly finding more because this is about they time they appear in numbers? Or have I just been lucky so far? I'm tempted to try some nematodes but have a slight aversion to the idea of microscopic worms in my veggies, at least I can see slugs to pull them out. Am I being irrational? Does anyone know what happens to the nematodes after they've done their thing? Thanks Jason

Nematodes will die off after they eaten the available food source, they don't get into your veg, they're soil bourne, and stay there.

I think you can buy a special nematode for edibles. Have a look in Amazon.
