Edible cherries?

I have a cherry tree in my garden but i don't know if the cherries are edible. The birds seem to love them. I have photos but don't know how too upload them.

    You upload photos by clicking on the tree icon. If you don't have the tree icon then go to 'my settings' and click on 'forum settings' followed by 'advanced editor'.

    It might be difficult to decide whether or not the cherries are edible just by looking at a photo but doubtless there are cherry experts out there who will know.

    Yes you can eat them,I've picked wild ones but those were bitter tried to make jam but had to put in a lot of sugar.

    I'm pretty sure all cherries are edible but whether they taste nice or not is another matter completely!  image
