  • Really? Oh no and I was thinking it was a rarityimage

  • Just read up on it and I think I will dig it up and give it to my friend who has a large shaded area with lots of mature trees and wants underplanting. image

  • I'm scared to ask...what's this one...?

  • Don't let the 'fox and cubs' loose in your garden if you can avoid it. Invasive is not my description, more like like total takeover. Pity the hens won't eat it like they do dandelions. Seems to spread by aerial seed (like dandelions) and sub soil runners as well!.

  • Thanks Kathryn - I will take it out tomorrow. Shame because I quite like the flower..but it's got to go now I know.image I've only got a 30foot suburban garden and can't let it take over.

I have it and it never gets out of hand. Don't dismiss it until you see how it does in your garden.

I think it depends on your gardening style and your soilimage

Not one to set loose with the alpines but a lovely in the right company. I have some that flowers with a white hemerocallis when they get the timing right. If it exceeds its bounds it goes into cut grass and gets beheaded like all the other extras.

I've got some in long grass as well.

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • The second one is also known as honeywort and the bees are supposed to love it I have some in flower which I gre from seed, but the bees much prefer Toad Flax and Phallicia.all self sown, which are growing all together.
