New to Gardening

Hi all

I am new to this and needing some information about growing sweet peppers and Chilli. I have recently purchased a sweet pepper and chilli plant.I have two questions.

1. I have the pepper plant in the greenhouse currently, will the peppers still grow? There are some little peppers growing so will this also help make them grow quicker, or is it best to have it out in the garden?

2. My chilli plant is in the green house too. how long will it take for it to flower and grow chillis?

Thanks

Welcome Darren Hau 1. It's best to grow them in greenhouse because they like it hot, sweet peppers and chillies need the same conditions. The peppers will still grow but they might stop flowering until the peppers get ripe and harvested, give them a high potash feed like a tomato feed. 2. It shouldn't be long before they start to flower, for both don't let them stand in water keep them on the dryish side, it's good for chillies it will make the fruit hotter depending on variety. And pick them when it's warm or hot weather.
  • Hi Logan, thank you for the reponse, its good to know to keep them in the green house. ive had them out for a few days in the garden and only just put them in now so hopefully i will see something grow soon! I water the plants every evening after the sun goes down so they are moist during the evening and dry during the day whilst im at work. or should it be the other way round?
