Unwell Plum Tree
i have a young plum tree in a pot which fruited ligtly last year and has been looking healthy and dandy until the last fortnight. One of the branches is now looking very unwell with limp leaves that are yellowing day by day. The other branches look healthy at the moment with a reasonable amount of plums which I have thinned to protect the health of the tree. Can anyone help. Should I cut out the poorly branch or is the tree done for?

I don't know how well you can see this. The healthy branches are on the right as you look at the tree. Those branches have plump, swelling plums. The 2nd photo shows one branch on the left hand side of the tree which has no fruit and the leaves are limp and yellowing. I have watered, fed and mulched regularly. I'm very worried as I don't want to lose the tree. Thanks for any ideas or advice.
thanks Pansyface. Btw, had another close inspection of the tree a minute ago and I've noticed this - see photos. I hadn't noticed it before because it is on the back of the trunk. Could this be the problem and is there any action I can take?
