French Marigold
Hi, can someone please advise,
I have just purchased some French Marigold plants from Aldi, I intend to plant them in containers, which compost do I use multi purpose or ericaceous compost?
I have also bought 3 Delosperma plants (not from Aldi but local gc) which compost do i plant these in?
Thanks

Multi Purpose.
Ericaceous is for acid loving plants such as Camelia's, Rhododendrons, Heathers etc.

Bilje, is there a particular kind of grit i.e. sand pit grit, builders grit, or do I have to purchase some from a garden centre?
Thanks
Just seen you have added the Delosperma to your question.
It's not expensive.
Horticultural Grit, you can buy it from a Garden Centre
The soil types are various types of soil you can have in your garden, it's always a good idea to find out what yours is as various plants thrive better in certain types. However you can combat this by planting in containers.
E.g. if you have Alkaline soil it's best to grow the plants I mentioned earlier in containers as your ground won't be acidic enough for them to perform to the best of their ability. You can buy test ktis to find out the ph of your soil but it also helps if you look around at what is doing well in neighbouring gardens as they may give you a bit of an idea.
