I grow Roodnerf sprouts which grow to 5 feet tall so staking is essential. I also net them. Excellent sprouts. Even though I plant my winter savoy cabbage in hollows then earth up, I always find one or two tend to lean. I am trying winter 'Hundredweight' cabbage this year as well, which weigh up to 7 kilo so I am not sure if to earth up or use some form of stake. Or perhaps short lengths of 3 or 4 inch piping to hold them up .
I planted brussels in a trench this year to give them a deep root system as the allotment is a windy site, then earthed them up untill the ground was level, with a stake to tie them to.

Just about to transplant Broccoli Babies for next Spring crop. Any tips to start them off well?

hello, ron, get the sprouts planted as soon as possible, especially if you want to be eating them Christmas day.
