"Funny" grass
Hi, Our veg patch has become inundated with a type of grass, when its dug up, the base has little bulbetttes. We put on horse poo in the spring, so could have come from that. Glyphosate doesn't seem to touch it - anyone any idea what it is, how to get rid? - many thanks

I think it could be onion grass, pain in the neck, not hard to dig up, but has to be dug up as each little bulb will grow new grass. I have it in my paddock and I use my horse poo so quite likely it could be that. I find quite a few seeds, like thistles, survive being eaten by a horse and turned into rotted manure.
Thanks for the reply B-L, bit of a problem to dig them up until the area is clear of veggies.........
