Small yellow things growing on mulch?

Hello, I'm making this thread quickly so I can't post any pictures (I will post some when I get back though!)

I've got some small yellow things growing on a mulch (composted wood chips)  They're not a 'foam' like some search results have answered with, they're a yellow round and currently standing at less than one cm the top of them does not extend outwards but remains inline with the rest of its 'body' + the top of it does not point upwards, it has a slight indent on it. Any ideas? Like I said I'll post pictures    Thank you

Sounds like a fungi of some kind Chris but difficult without a pic - for me anyway!

Someone else might be along soon to help. image

The first pic looks like Fairy Ring toadstools (how appropriate at Midsummer image).  Brush them off before mowing or if you're worried about the dogs eating them.

No idea what the little yellow blobs are, but they'll be some sort of fungi breaking down the mulch - they won't harm your plants - the world depends on fungi breaking down organic matter image

I've been looking at some pictures of fungus and they look like the early development of 'jelly spot fungus'
