I was told yesterday that if the first flowers on a potato plant are removed before they open the developing spuds heep a benefit. Does anyone out there know if this true??
It's one of those gardening myths. Picking off the potato flowers makes no discernible difference to the yield.
Plus, they are SO darn pretty! I only cut them for bouquets
Thank you both. Very helpful. Just as I thought.
