Black Stain

My heliotropes and delphiniums often suffer from these black stains + deformed

leaves. I thought they were mite attacks (as it is usual in my garden), but my lovely

poison (cypermethrin) does not  have great effect on these. Can anyone help?

Heliotropes do better if you plant them somewhere which gets full sun in the morning but is shaded later in the day.   An East or South-East facing border would be ideal and that should eliminate the darkening of the leaves.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thanks for the replies. Both young heliotropes and delphiniums don´t actually get

any direct sunlight for the moment, perhaps there´s the problem. This darkness

in my garden might be the cause for soooo many maladies. But oy, that´s something

    I can´t heal...
