Wow, the previous home owner loved their euphorbias! E. cyparissias, this one can spread a little.
Looks more like purple toadflax to me.

Not sure that it's Euphorbia - looks rather like Linaria Purpurea. Let it flower - if you have tall spikes of purple (occasionally pink) flowers that resemble toadflax, then it's L. Purpurea. A useful plant, easily controlled since it will seed prolifically, but can be pulled up if it's in the wrong place!
I'd rather have purple toadflax than E. cyparissias.
Thank you everyone, I'm happy I put it in a pot, my husband weed killed the top soil for two years as we wasn't into gardening in those days thought everything was weeds ha ha
It looks like purple flowers are gonna come it's about a foot tall I have a couple I put them in pots about 2 months ago, but it hasn't really grown much since
Yes definitely linaria. It self seeded in my old garden in Oxfordshire for years. Wish I'd brought some seeds to West Wales!
Check me out, I love it out there, very good therapy, I'm in Lincolnshire and even though I'm finding it hard work it's worth it
