    Thank you everyone. image

We got through an awful lot of food, and a dozen bottles of prosecco disappeared at a rate of knots, and several dozen bottles of beer.   It rained most of the morning, but brightened up at lunchtime. There was only a short amount of fine mizzle in the afternoon. Most people liked the garden,it was described as "very naturalistic"  for that read artfully untidy. I thought the kids playing on the muckheap were fine. When I went up,they had made a fort out of old pallets.  I should have rechecked. It looks like someone went ape, smashing up two pallets I had with a large stone, breaking all the canes in half. If I didn't know it was a 10 year old,I would have thought it would have taken a grown man to do that amount of damage. imageIt will take longer to clear up the mess under the top oak, than to clean the house and wash all the pots and glasses.

Guess why children are not coming to the wedding.

Don't blame you  re children.......we didn't have any at ours either. It upset some but that's what we wanted.

Lily, yesterday was Betrothal Celebrations image

Sounds as if that 10 year old could/should be drafted in for any heavy lifting, digging, lugging that needs doing in the future image
