Potatoes

in Fruit & veg
Hi, I grow potatoes in bags every year, with quite a good result. My question to you all is, could I use my home-made compost instead of bought multipurpose compost? I seem to end up with so much compost in my bins and hope that this would be one way of using some of it. I would of course add potato fertilizer.

That is why I did last year only added chicken pellets-I think to keep buying bags of compost makes it less cost effective to a point where it may not be worth the effort
I tend to use a mixture of both quite successfully in my bags, watch out for slugs and other nasties though. I also put in some gromore or similar pellets .
I use a mix of both and add growmore.
Thanks to you all, will give it a bash, nothing to loose!
