Rose Clear has a certain residual effect and is effective against several common rose problems, but it's a chemical so you have to make the choice and whether or not you prefer that or natural remedies. I find blasting them off with water is equally as good, especially at the bud stage when infestation can be at it's worst. There are other things like garlic spray or best of all encouraging natural predators who can clear a rose of greenfly over a few days. You can buy in lacewing and ladybird larvae and encourage wasps which also take greenfly/blackfly.
There is NO best care, but a combination of natural is certainly the most effective.
