honeysuckle problem

 Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my honeysuckle and if I can solve the problem, the plant has flourished and has been healthy for over 8 years, this is the first time I have seen this - see attached photos. Any help much appreciated!

    looks like an infestation of aphids or mealy bugs to me...

    Yup, soapy liquid, might have to do it a few times but not deadly. Has it just all flowered at once?

    I used a water and bicarbonate of soda solution to great effect on an aphid infected plant.

    I would just give it a good sharp blast with the hosepipe, then hang some birdfeeders with sunflower hearts in close by - the bluetits will come to the feeders, see any aphids you have left, and eat them while they're queueing for the sunflower hearts image

    Have to agree with Dove.. Since birds have moved into my garden, I get very few pests.
