this is a fruiting cherry which was planted bare rooted in November of last year. it was growing really well with new leaves coming on,then in late May it suddenly started to look sick and the leaves have died and gone black. It hasn't dried out so I'm puzzled as to what has happened to it,any ideas anyone.

Try looking at the roots for signs of either too wet or too dry, that can cause sudden collapse like that.
