    You just have to grow what suits you best Alan - it's all a learning curve. Pots or containers are great (for lots of reasons) but they will require extra care - no matter what the plant is. We don't all have huge gardens and have to use our spaces according to our needs. In a small space, every plant has to earn it's keep. image

    You could always put those ones in a corner of the garden somewhere - at least the birds might enjoy them! image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I planted wild strawberries as ground cover in my daughter's garden, in permanent shade and heavy clay, where nothing much else would grow.  They romped away and fruited as well.  Just an idea, Alan?

    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Mine would have to go on steroids to get that size,

    i have taken your advice Fairy Girl and bought some Elsanta, they look good in my baskets, thank you .
