A friend of mine who was a professional gardener told me his rule of thumb was, if he didn't plant it and a gentle tug pulled it out it was an annual weed. This sometimes works and sometimes I realise too late that I have just pulled out a slip! But this looks like a weed but don't know the name
Thank you, I had a lorry load of top soiled delivered a couple of years ago and I have loads of plants growing some lovely poppies and all sorts of different flowers, the trouble is I've never done any gardening before apart from cutting the grass but I have really enjoyed trying to sort my garden out this year and I joined this forum for help and everyone has been really helpful

Looks like one of the willowherbs. Don't let them seed.

Or possibly two different willowherbs
In the sticks near Peterborough
