I already had a bit of a hack at it, but couldn't bear to remove all the flowers -
I think it's a variety for the 'shaggy' perennial border where it can mingle with other plants, something tidier have been more appropriate for that spot. A lesson from experience is well learned though!
I've cut back one G phaeum, the bumblebees are enjoying the others too much.
