Jo this is the one that most resembles your pic in the 'flesh'. If it's what it's supposed to be it will have black berries. The young leaves are reddish like those in your pic, (but so are the young leaves of many shrubs).
I have a lot of natives but far from exclusively. I am a browser of non mainstream seed catalogues and seed swaps and grow things I've never heard of. Like the above which sold itself to me because of the black berries. I haven't seen them yet it's only in the second year from seed
There are 2 of them, probably 12-18 inches. That's very quick growth so I imagine will be fairly large and loose. I'll plant out in autumn, haven't got a space yet but I'll find somewhere.
How long have you had the garden Jo? could this be a cut down shrub regrowing rather that a sucker/seedling

To be fair: there are so many which look like that , Cornubia, Hybridus Pendulus, Rothschildianus.
Need to let them grow and develop a shape and see flowers/ berries to be sure.
I agree wait and see but those leaves are broad which narrows it down a bit
Say 50 species rather than a 100
