Lost lable rose
I wonder if anyone could help. Many years ago I bought some lost label roses from a Radio Times magazine. They were all of very good stock but the label was gone.
One of these roses is a very beautiful red/black rose (almost like Black Baccarat) with a very powerful scent. One single rose is enough for a room.
I have read that Black Baccarat dies not have any scent, so I don't thing it is that.
the leaves are dark bronze, it has a lot of thorns, the buds are almost black but as the roses opens out, if still on the plant, it occasionally turns to a strong red gradually turning purple as it dies, while if cut it stays a very, very dark red.
I was able to take a cutting from it a few years back ad it seems to be fairly strong. and healthy plant
I believe it is a hybrid tea. It repeats well right into December.
Does anybody have an idea of what the name could be?
Many thanks for your help.

Eh, I don't have one at the moment The buds are too tightly closed, but I will return to this as soon as I can get a photo.
Thanks
Until they open up a bit, you could try Peter Beales Roses website - it has comprehensive filters on the left of the page, you may be able to find it there if it's one they stock.

Munstead Wood is a dark claret with a strongish fragrance. Roseraie de l'Hay is dark and perfumed I think. But you probably have something more modern.
