Sick Fatsia!
We have a Fatsia Japonica which we have had for 4 years and have transplaned it as it got bigger into larger pots. It grows in a large ceramic pot (with drainage holes). It has not been top dressed this year but it has been fed. The pot is in a shady part of our flat's garden under some sycamores but is watered regularly.
It has started to lose lower leaves which have gone yellow, New leaves on the existing stems are fine but a new stem has suddenly lost leaves and the remainder are not looking healthy - best description is crinkled like they are very dry.
Any ideas?

Hi Chris,my fatsia is about 15 years old and thrives on neglect in a very dry shady border. After it has flowered and the berries stripped by the birds the lower leaves go yellow, brown and withered looking and drop off. Then in due course the new growth takes over.It has done this every year and is still going strong in fact this year it has put on about a couple of feet in height.I had always assumed it was just a natural way of taking care of itself.
