Pellets (after a couple of goes) did clear a lot of Slugs & Snails from the garden (the garden had been left unattended by the previous owners for at least a year or two, so their were thousands!). The wildlife should be fine because you will NEVER completely get rid of the slugs & snails, and if you notice loads, clearly the wildlife either have other food sources, or have far too much choice on their hands!
i tried everything to keep the slugs away! the only thing i found to work was the slug pellets but they are so much hard work, if they get wet or blown away then you have to scatter them again , and the i started worring about the widlfie eating them, i came accross a product one night called the Slug Bell, it solved all my problems! The slug bell is a stick whlch sits in the ground and has a metal basket in which you place your slug pellets then a prettily designed bell shape sits over the top, which keeps the pellets dry and prevents them from being blown away! Also the only animals it will attracted are slugs and snails and they are the only animals capable of reaching the pellets!!
Please take a look at www.slugbell.com you will not be disapointed

Oh no you didn't!!
-you tried this marketing trick on the BBC forum last year-this is just a free advertising ploy- not some marvellous find.
Legitimate companies pay for advertising and do not use forums like this surreptitiously
I'm afraid this type of spam is getting worse and worse. I often find it on readers comments in daily newspapers (not to mention in my E-mail in-box!) and always push the "report abuse" button. Shame you can't do that here.

You can report to the moderator-but sometimes it is nice to name and shame
As they say in parliament: hear, hear!
