yes but is it a weed I have it coming up everywhere I cant seem to get rid it is not unattractive but big and invasive does it have medicinal properties if so how I know a weed is in the eyes of the beholder but this thing is a pain
It is rather invasive and has taken over road verges in many places. I wouldn't want it in my garden, but some people do like it. Pull it out if you don't want it either!
Centranthus ruber, though often called red valerian, is not the herbal remedy that Fern Spray refers to. That is Valeriana officinalis - true valerian, which has similar looking flowers.
