Having just de-snailed my Lupins, I can agree whole heartedly with Verdun. Went around the bases of them and up the foliage that leans against the boundary fence and filled a 9 cm plant pot from the two mature plants. The Thrushes ate well tonight.

Thank you for all your kind comments. Don't know if it makes any difference but the tutti fruitti seed was from the Alan Titchmarsh collection.
