should i pinch out the new flower buds to encourage more lower down, i have two buds at the top on each plant?
it's so annoying when you don't get a good germination return, the ones i didn't want to all germinate were zinnias, i must learn to just sow a few extra not the hole pack of everything
Sanjy - I pinch cosmos quite ruthlessly, several times to get nice bushy plants and also to get plants which flower much later in the season and right through to the frosts. I have a lot of other plants in flower for the next few weeks and cosmos is very useful for filling the late summer / autumn gap.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
thanks topbird, i haven't realy got anything apart from two clematis flowers so i'll pinch them out as they will be a bit lost atm, ive ordered a garden jpurnal so hopefully i can plan for flowers each month, i started out wilth a blue & white plan and it's all gone to pot, oh well
