Echium (Candicans ‘Pride of Madeira’)
in Plants
Hi folks,
I recently made an impulsive purchase while at the Kent Garden Show a few weeks ago and bagged myself an Echium (Candicans ‘Pride of Madeira’). I hadn’t done any prior research on Echiums and the seller couldn’t offer me any useful advice on care and maintenance. I was just in awe of the specimens they had on display and thought I’ll have one of those.
I believe this one’s a shrub variety that requires well drained soil and should be positioned in a sunny spot, but other than that I know very little about it. Can anyone here with experience of growing this type of Echium offer advice on care and maintenance throughout the year?
Thanks in advance.
G.
