I.heteranthera is the only species of Indigofera I have ever seen, so with that in mind I would say yes. Very under used shrub, it flourished here in the north west of England on a very poor sandy soil [ Genista aetnensis, Spartium, Colutea and Caragana all were very vigorous on this site -not my garden- it was municipal] and stood out as a beauty.
Having looked up Indigofera i'm pretty certain that's it. As to the specific variety i'm not sure, but certainly, if heteranthera tends to be the most popular i'll go with that.
I'm moving in 6 weeks so i guess my only option is to try semi hard wood cuttings and cross my fingers?!
