Ignorant gardener

We are having yard work done which involves moving/removing bushes and some trees. In doing so, we have had to move various clumps of flower bulbs that we inherited with the property. They were put in 5 gallon buckets for me, but they got rained on and I was afraid they would rot. So I took them out today and spread them out to dry. Now what??

I sorted through the bulbs by shape (told you I'm ignorant!) I know there are daffodils and some irises because I've seen those in bloom in places around here. Other than that, I don't know what there might be. I also know there is no way all of these were blooming because there weren't ever that many flowers showing in the spring! There are 200-300 bulbs!!

I have visions of a giant bulb garden in another spot on the property. But how do I go about this now? Can I plant them now or wait until Fall? If I wait, how do I store them?

Anything else I need to know? I know VERY little about flower gardening so your advice would be much appreciated! I don't want to see these ruined.

Keep them dry ,and if possible , in a dark shed or garage . Store them in a netting sack, the kind onions come in so you might get one from a greengrocer, then plant in Autumn.

Or you could put them on trays keep them in a cool place, in the autumn go to the garden centre and check on the bulbs see what shapes go with what
