    They flower for such a long time that you can do whatever you want to them - they just keep flowering anyway. Autumn is ideal though, as has been said.  image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Old thread, but I took Dove and others' advice back then, tidied it up in late autumn before frosts, only where it needed it, sometimes never, and it's fine now.

    i think it was a combination of pruning in spring and not enough sun, which made mine rebel.

    a few years down the line and I finally know my potentillas image

    Took this photo a few mins ago. As you can see it is flowering, with lots more to come. It has not been pruned or fed for a number of seasons. They really do deserve a place in the garden.
