We planted pink fir apple last year and had a poor crop.
This year we have had the rogues left behind and they have been fantastic.
We have learnt that cooking needs to be very little and once the heat is turned off we make sure to drain the water and keep the lid off so they don't keep "cooking".
I must admit I don't scrape the skins off new spuds it's all eaten. I haven't grown them for a couple of years,can't remember the variety,pretty "usual" well known ones.
