Good Evening All,
Walking near
a local river - I came across a wildflower that I've never seen before.
Anyone have any idea as to what it is please?
Hi Edd,
Thank you so much - we have been checking all the wildflower sites! There were only 2 or 3 plants close to a tidal river which often floods.
Sioux
I did have a similar species, tragopogon pratensis, next to my pond until the slugs decided otherwise.
It is indeed!
Last thing I expected to see on a flood plain. Hopefully the seed will spread and there will be more next year.
They grow OK here and we're very dry. They self seed from year to year
