ok so i took some more pics, hopefuly these may help with identifying it image

its in partial shade, id say it gets 3 hours sun in the morning and then shade all day, the growth you can see here is all since spring, and theres nothing else like it in my garden or anyone elses near by, it seems to droop naturally, there was no obstruction above it. and theres nothing else growing near it as i have not planted anything there yet, its not like its killed nearby plants or anything image

I'm sure it's in that family but would have expected it to be more out of control by now if it were JKW.

    It's a big family

just to say again, ive been here 10 years and never seen it before, tho i only took an interest in the garden since 1 year, but if it was some killer weed i would have thought it would have taken over etc?

Hi Hefty, I thought the plant had been there for 10 years without spreading. I should read more carefully. It may have only just arrived,

Nothing comes from nowhere, can you see anything like that in the surrounding gardens?

no ive been at this address for 10 years

but theres definately nothing else like it anywhere near my garden. you can see from this picture that there are adjoining gardens, mine is bottom right of the pic (where the foxgloves are) then you can see everyone elses garden, ive checked and theres nothing like it in any of theirs.......the mystery plant is right where my garden meets the next doors

hmmmm dunno what to do - thx for all the help so far

It'll grow from the tiniest bit of root. Have you brought in any other plants or home made or green waste compost?

Anyway, what to do is easy... spray it with Glyphosate! You've got it at a stage where it's treatable at least.

I wouldn't like to say yes or no to the JKW hefty. I've only seen in when it's huge and extensive. (and somebody else's problem fortunately)

It could be a seedling. If you didnt plant it and dont want it, I would dig it out and burn it. If it reappears use glyphosate gel in one of those deodorant type sticks, to stroke each leaf with.
