Identify Shrubs
in Plants
Hi. I've just moved into a new house with a HUGE garden. The shrubs have all been allowed to grow wild and I need to trim them down, but I also don't know what any of them are and so can't find out how best to trim them.
Is it possible to get help on here identifying these plants and maybe some tips on cutting them back? Thanks.

Yes it is Piping Widow. Best thing to do is add some photos to your messages here by clicking on the little green tree symbol and uploading then saving photos which will then appear in your message. Sometimes best to load just one or three photos at a time. That way everyone on this forum can have a look and identify what they can for you. Everyone loves the challenge and I'm sure you will get the answers you need.
First pic.
Second pic.
I think the front one is a Hebe?
hi Piping Widow, the one at the back in the first pic looks like a hebe and the blue flower in second looks like vinca major, not 100% sure, but hope this helps a bit
Thanks Cathy43. All help gratefully appreciated!
Agree with Vinca in two, hebe for the flower in one, hebe in front of three. Major job there though
Doable major job or professional major job? I had a landscaper look at it and he's never come back to me. He admitted to my husband that when he drove past the house he was praying he had the wrong place as the garden was so much work!
The one with the yellowish leaves in front on the first picture is a Lonicera, probably Lonicera nitida 'Baggesen's Gold'. I agree that the one in the back of the same picture, and the one in the front of picture three are Hebes. And of course the blue flowers in picture two are Vinca.
Great! That's four identified. Here are some more:
