Buying things in the bargain section of the garden centre...

So, today we became the proud owners of a twenty inch tall stone owl...

What have you randomly purchased in a moment of madness?

Basically it was a quite big one of these, Himself thinks it shall be decorative so in the garden it goes!

I like those owls, they work really well in a group!

In total contrast, aesthetically, this is my random purchase. It was so hideous it made me and my friend laugh like drains and we had to get it to give someone as a 'joke gift' It was 50p lol

Some very brave people here.  Not only buying the things and admitting to it, but posting photo's too.

A skirt or pair of trousers would be awesome in the style of WillDB's bargain image

Love the owl Steveimage.  I've passed a house where a new stone wall has been built with one of those owls as a gate pillar topper.  I thought they'd had it specially commissioned until I saw them in the GC.  Looks brilliant thoughimage

I've got a little one of those owls - don't normally like ornaments but this one had a funny look on its faceimage

i don't buy ornaments as i don't really like them in my garden but people keep buying them for my birthday etc and i have to hide them behind plants hahaha so the visiting 'givers' can see i haven't binned them but that's what i would like to do, i have a horrible stone angel that looks like it belongs in a cemetryimage a cherub carrying a fish image and a horrid terracotta large face/head, i'm worried the more they buy me the more they will think i like ornaments, i've tried dropping into convos that i don't like ornaments but it seems to fall on deaf ears image
