Well, I might do that, but I'll have to do the clever business of fertilizing them myself ,with a brush, as I simply can't let any more develop randomly. It takes a long time on an almost daily basis, removing the developing seed heads, and I still get a staggering lot of seedlings growing... It's pretty safe to say slugs don't like them!

hey fidget, yes they are the same plant, one stem has the normal flowers and then theres a stem coming off it with these frilly single petal star looking ones

The top one looks like a barlow black and the next one a stellata form. Are they on the same plant or separate seedlings?

Sometimes with doubles, the early ones don't have as many ruffles. They seem to grow into them, if that makes sense.
