  • Oh that sounds fabulous, I have a passion for black plants so this comes very close.

    Never grown these, although I love them I'm under the impression they're rather fussy, and you need to recreate 'Himalayan forest' conditions... Luckily the yellow Welsh poppy is happy pretty much anywhere.

    I found M. paniculata from seed took two or three years to flower. Some of the larger plants flowered in their second year, and some in the third. Annuals they are not. My seed may have been mixed, some came pink and others yellow.
