Anyone grown roses from seeds - is it easy?

I'vr grown several species, moyesii, rubrfoloia, rugosa, nd something with bunches of small white flowers. R. rugosa is very quick to flower, I sowed when ripe,germinated almost immediately, flowers on a few plants by the next autumn

Never thought of growing roses from seed - probably thought it was difficult and best left to specialists. I might have a go now. Thank you
Moyesii germinated OK Will but was much slower to come to flower. It isn't a prolific flowerer even now but my soil is not great for roses.
