Can anyone tell me the best way of dealing with this heuchera please? It looks beautiful from the sides but when you get up close and see the middle of it it spreads out and there's a big gap showing thick woody growth.
perfectly normal for them to become a bit woody in the middle with age.
Next spring, dig it up and you'll be able to split some little clumps off with lots of fresh young roots attached and you'll have lots more.
